About US Weather
US Weather plugs straight into Open-Meteo — a free, open weather-data service built on national weather models — and shows you exactly what it returns.
Where the data comes from
Forecasts and current conditions are fetched live, in your browser, from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a free weather API that aggregates the same national models (including NOAA's) used by professional services. City search uses Open-Meteo's geocoding service, restricted to US results. Nothing is cached or invented on this site: if the service is down, we say so rather than showing you stale weather dressed as live.
Units, American style
Temperatures in Fahrenheit, wind in miles per hour, forecasts on the city's own local time — because a forecast you have to convert is a forecast you have to doubt.
Who runs this site?
US Weather is a free website by UMARIX TECHNOLOGIES (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, a software company that builds practical web tools and business software. Everything on this site is free to use, works right in your browser, and requires no sign-up.
